I have the same problem currently. I even installed .71 but it still crashes on startup when connecting with the server. So I installed the .exe update to .73 and then it worked again.

There's definitely a conflict with the AutoUpdateWB so this should be disabled in the first place — both for the installer and the game.

Always be careful in using 3rd party non-standard tools...
